About The Position

The Commercial Fulfillment Specialist III is responsible for the fulfillment of commercial loans, ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance, policies, and procedures throughout the loan process. This role acts as a liaison among various stakeholders to facilitate accurate and timely loan closings while managing documentation quality and risk.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks independently under tight time constraints.
  • Advanced commercial credit knowledge including loan closings, legal documentation, and exceptions.
  • Advanced proficiency in reviewing title work, surveys, collateral, lien filings, appraisals, and environmental reports.
  • Knowledge of commercial loan systems.
  • Ability to manage a queue of 20-35 deals with various product types and documentation deadlines.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and train peers on commercial processes and systems.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in banking, finance, credit operations, loan consultation, or administration.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in the execution of legal documentation and associated processes.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in a related field.
  • Experience in all loan closing components including documentation, approvals, exceptions, and administration.
  • Experience with highly complex or specialty commercial transactions.
  • Professional license or specialized training in escrow, title, real estate, government programs, and specialized lending programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead communication with key members of the commercial front line and credit partners to ensure consistent application of the Bank's procedures.
  • Deliver services efficiently to internal and external clients for activities including due diligence processing, documentation processing, closing, funding, and post-closing functions.
  • Produce legal and supporting documentation required for closing various types of commercial transactions through timely and accurate input to internal systems.
  • Manage documentation risk by ensuring compliance with credit approval and securing valid liens.
  • Monitor documentation quality to meet or exceed the Bank's exception rate goal and provide timely follow-up on exceptions.
  • Provide clear verbal and written communication to third parties as needed.
  • Facilitate complex external loan closings and process executed loan documentation for booking.
  • Provide superior service to internal clients by taking ownership of their needs and requests.
  • Stay updated on Truist's regulatory and compliance policies and procedures.
