About The Position

The Commercial Forklift Operator, under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager, performs a wide variety of activities related to receipt, inspection, processing, storage, and distribution of Commercial parts and accessories (ex: Automotive, HVAC) in accordance with ACT Fulfillment policies and procedures. Key measures include safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Each Commercial Forklift Operator must achieve the standard while maintaining safe work procedures. Performs other related work as required.

Requirements

  • OEM/Commercial Distribution experience preferred
  • Previous logistics/distribution experience.
  • Familiar with Warehouse Management System functionality – WMS/SOFTEON
  • Language: Fluent English. Ability to speak or understand Spanish is a plus, however not required.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Six months of warehouse forklift experience.
  • Able to complete task assigned on a timely matter
  • Good communication
  • Reliable
  • Must work OT when required
  • Basic Math
  • Read and write

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
  • Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
  • Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
  • Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
  • Accurately receive, inspect, process, store and ship a variety of commercial parts and accessories meeting company policies and procedures.
  • May be required to process shipment of federally regulated Dangerous Goods
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain required certifications and adhere to all Country, Federal, State and local laws in order to handle and ship commercial parts.
  • Receive incoming shipments
  • Process shipment orders (ex: Dealer, stores, DTC body shops Big Box) accurately and with reliable quality
  • Process Returns (ex: Dealer returns, customer returns, transit returns)
  • Perform inventory counts and stock rearrangements
  • Meet or exceed all minimum PDC productivity and quality objectives while displaying professional conduct at all times.
  • Accurately Loading and unloading shipments
  • Inspect freight for accuracy and/or damage.
  • Verify receiving tickets against packaging part numbers to ensure accuracy and report damages, shortage Discrepancies, or other out of line conditions.
  • Relocate merchandise to appropriate storage areas.
  • Prepare customer orders for shipment.
  • Required to use powered industrial equipment in order to perform assigned tasks, quality, productivity, etc.) within area of assignment standards of safety, security, and efficiency.
  • Maintain neat, clean, orderly, safe, and secure work and storage areas.
  • Exercise care of equipment completes the forklift truck pre-use inspection sheet daily at the start of the shift.
  • Returns completed sheets to his supervisor and reports all damages to his supervisor.
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the forklift battery and lubricating equipment
