Pye-Barker FS has an immediate opening for a Commercial Fire Alarm Systems Designer / Fire Service Manager Designing / Drafting Responsibilities: Generate detailed technical drawings and schematics for fire alarm systems in commercial buildings using CAD software Maintain an extensive knowledge of NFPA codes and all applicable local rules and regulations related to commercial fire alarms Provide support to the Sales Department by visiting job sites and creating detailed memos for fire alarm system work to be quoted based on site conditions and / or plans Fire Service Management Responsibilities: Schedule commercial fire alarm inspections and audit the labor expended on commercial fire alarm inspections to ensure proper time management Ensure plans are on-site for all commercial fire accounts Notify clients and Fire Marshals about fire alarm system impairments Handle FOIL requests and fire alarm system filings Project management to include coordination with Fire Marshals, clients, technicians and other Lowitt personnel regarding open jobs Work with product manufacturers to organize training sessions for technicians Education/Qualification: Minimum of 5 years prior experience in Fire Alarm System Design. NICET Certification strongly preferred Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred. AutoCAD experience preferred. Other drafting programs may be considered. Possess professional business communications skills, both written and oral. Self-learner, self-motivated, dedicated, organized, and a team player. Must have good communication and organization skills. Be able to develop and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and accomplish tasks in a timely and safe manner. Other Duties: Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity. Salary: $150,000 plus commission opportunities.
