About The Position

TRIP is searching for a Commercial Finance Senior Analyst to support our dynamic Commercial team in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. Our Commercial function spans Sales, Category & Business Insights, and Shopper Marketing and this role will be critical in helping us optimize spend, evaluate investment ROI, and drive profitable growth. This role will serve as a finance business partner to our US based Commercial leaders and be key in delivering thoughtful analysis and actionable insights that inform everything from investment and trade strategies to customer-level profitability. The ideal candidate has a great attention to detail and loves to work in a highly collaborative environment. They will also have a strong Excel foundation and a passion for continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a commercial role within CPG
  • Prior experience supporting Commercial or Shopper Marketing teams with investment tracking, ROI measurement, and financial performance analysis
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong financial modelling skills and the ability to build models from scratch, distilling complex data into clear insights and actionable next steps
  • Comfortable building, owning, and evolving reporting tools and infrastructure — ranging from ad hoc analyses to scalable, recurring dashboards
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced, dynamic, and often unstructured environment
  • Collaborative mindset and able to partner effectively across teams and constructively challenge perspectives when appropriate
  • This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a finance business partner to Commercial leaders across Sales, Category and Shopper Marketing. You’ll provide analysis and insight to guide decision-making across pricing, trade, promotions, and customer investments
  • Build and maintain performance dashboards, and budget tools for key Commercial P&L line items, including Revenue, Trade Spend, and Gross Sales in collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Assist with the Sales and Commercial budgeting process, including annual planning, monthly budget reviews, ROI tracking, and investment pacing across accounts, channels, and tactics.
  • Lead performance reviews by identifying and investigating budget variances, calling out risks and opportunities, communicating key trends and recommended actions to senior stakeholders.
  • Support Commercial profitability initiatives through analysis of customer and channel profitability and identification of trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Support optimized Shopper Marketing spend by tracking spend by customer and channel reviewing the commercial performance of each activation.
  • Support the enhancement of reporting infrastructure to improve visibility and decision-making, helping evolve from Excel-based tools to scalable BI platforms
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes, improve data quality, and support the transition to automated, self-serve reporting environments
