About The Position

The Commercial Finance Manager - NMV plays a pivotal role in IFCO North America’s strategic growth initiatives by developing financial models, commercial frameworks, and profitability analyses for new market verticals, products, and service offerings, while also supporting and enhancing financial modelling for the existing core business. Acting as a strategic finance business partner by working closely with commercial, supply chain, product development, and leaders across the organization to evaluate and structure new business opportunities beyond IFCO’s traditional produce RPC programs. Areas of focus may include new product solutions, expansion into adjacent market segments, and development of innovative pooling and supply chain models. This role will operate in a highly ambiguous environment, often building business cases and financial models with limited historical data, requiring creativity and strong commercial judgment, and a forward-looking mindset. The role requires strong commercial finance capabilities, advanced financial modelling, and the ability to translate complex supply chain dynamics into clear financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in financial analysis, accounting, business administration, or related area is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, as well as the ability to prepare and present complex written and oral reports
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong process management skills
  • Proficiency in standard business applications included in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced proficiency with Excel required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access desired

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree and professional certifications (CPA, CFA, etc.) are preferred.
  • Experience supporting supply chain, logistics, or pooling-based business models preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining financial models to evaluate expansion opportunities into new market verticals, such as (e.g., bakery, bananas, and other potential RPC applications).
  • Build and own end-to-end business cases for new initiatives, including evaluation of EBITDA impact, IRR, ROCI, NPV, and payback profiles.
  • Partner with commercial teams to structure pricing, incentives, and commercial agreements for business opportunities
  • Translate complex operational and supply chain concepts into financial models that evaluate profitability and return on investment
  • Support negotiations and business case development for strategic initiatives and large-scale commercial partnerships
  • Provide actionable financial insight into market entry strategies, including scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis across key assumptions
