About The Position

A Business Development Officer is a sales position responsible for creating relationships with referral sources and businesses while promoting products and services provided by Oxford Commercial Finance.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated consistent and effective negotiation skills.
  • General knowledge of asset-based lending or factoring products and services.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of credit structures, along with understanding of current asset-based lending industry.
  • Work well within a team environment and collaborate closely with internal partners to deliver customer solutions.
  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or economics or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in asset-based lending, factoring or banking preferred.
  • This position will comply with all BSA compliance laws and regulations including the Banks BSA policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Grow and expand the Oxford Commercial Finance working capital portfolio by focusing on new businesses development.
  • Build and maintain an external referral base and maintain a visible market presence to pursue new Oxford Commercial Finance relationships.
  • Meet with business owners and referral sources to build strong relationships, identify needs, and recommend product solutions.
  • Gather and analyze the required data necessary to determine the viability of a prospective client.
  • Present the transaction on the weekly Pipeline calls and be able to intelligently talk discuss about the Companys business, challenges, and needs.
  • Prepare loan proposals consistent with Oxford Commercial Finance credit policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
