  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and requirements to understand scope
  • Conduct job site visits to assess existing conditions and potential risks
  • Perform material take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates
  • Bid on commercial and metal roofing projects in the Upstate and Southeast
  • Utilize estimating software (Job Boss and others) to streamline the process
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
  • Prepare detailed and persuasive proposals for clients
  • Source competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Maintain clear documentation of estimates, bids, and correspondence
  • Assist in shop drawing reviews and contribute to project planning
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Estimator or similar role in the industry
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation practices
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction documents
  • Proficiency in Job Boss or similar estimating software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
  • Understanding of local building codes and safety standards
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
