JOB SUMMARY: Generate profitable sales of Caterpillar engines and allied equipment in assigned markets. Properly apply the equipment by utilizing engineering, technical and sales knowledge. Ensure a high degree of client satisfaction with each project. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reviews projects at the concept and/or design stage. Makes application recommendations and guide architects, engineers, and end user clients. Prepares and submits bill of materials to bidding contractors. Prepares and/or reviews equipment pricing for the bid to match the bill of materials. Takes the required action to obtain the order from the successful bidder. Delivers quotations, information, and details to clients. Works safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists other sales representatives with engine quotations. Prepares sales invoice and obtains required client purchase documents. Obtains client signatures and control documents as required. Assists and/or prepares all sales, delivery, and credit documents. Inspects equipment installation. Be present at equipment start-ups, if possible. Coordinates with Service Department to correct application problems that occurs. Advises Sales Manager of application problems and corrections taken or recommended. Assists Sales Manager in developing the annual sales goals and objectives. Maintains client call list. Performs other duties as directed by management. Works within and promotes corporate values.
