Successful candidates will be located in the State of Massachusetts or Rhode Island. This is a field based role. We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Commercial Energy Auditor. Field work includes both pre-inspections / audits and post-inspections of the installation of energy efficiency measures primarily focus on the location's lighting, HVAC, kitchen equipment and refrigeration systems.

Requirements

  • 0-1 Years of work relevant work experience.
  • Comfortable with the basics of Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable driving for a portion of the workday to visit grocery stores and restaurants.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, working on commercial building rooftops, and handling a ladder.
  • Have a safety mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Methodically collect data from HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen and lighting equipment.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and energy audits of small and large scale commercial buildings (ex. Whole Foods or Chili's).
  • Complete on-site verifications and electronic review of field data entered into program database.
  • Record inspection results, customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements.
  • Provide input and status updates to program staff.
  • Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors encouraging participation in the program and overcoming barriers.
  • Travel throughout a defined territory.
