Randall Fire Protection is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Electrician with Low Voltage Controls experience to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems and control systems and related equipment on project throughout Central Florida. The technician will ensure that all systems are functional, compliant with codes, and meet safety standards. This role requires experience in installing electrical conduit, wiring (Rough In) and understanding low voltage installation for fire alarm systems and controls (HVAC), excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining the safety of occupants and property.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fully fluent in English. (Speaking, Writing, Reading)
  • Minimum 3 years (or formal education equivalent) of electrical experience (120v), installation (Rough in, Conduit installation (Bending EMT), Wiring).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Own and safely use hand and power tools and electrical tools (e.g. Drill, Impact, Multimeter, Hi/Low Voltage Detector, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Good communication and customer service skills. You will be the face and voice of the company when working in the field.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks on the job site.

Nice To Haves

  • Controls installation and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Fire alarm installation and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 / 30 Certification (Is a plus, not required)

Responsibilities

  • Installation of electrical conduits (EMT, FLEX, MC, RIGID,) Bending EMT Conduit, Installation of junction boxes, unistruts, conduit hangers and all related tasks for Rough In and pulling wires.
  • Installation of enclosure, panel boxes/cabinets, raceways, etc.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, assessment information (panels and devices brands and models).
  • Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and building officials during installations or renovations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations
  • Installation of field devices for fire alarm and building automation systems related components (e.g., smoke detectors, pull stations, control panels, signaling devices, relays).
  • Diagnose system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.
  • Be able to identify preventive maintenance and service.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, assessment information (panels and devices brands and models).
  • Collaborate with contractors, electricians, and building officials during installations or renovations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations.
