About The Position

Commercial Energy Efficiency Analyst JOB SUMMARY The Commercial Energy Efficiency Analyst supports the Commercial Energy Efficiency Implementation team by providing accurate, timely, and reliable analytical, reporting, and operational support for programs certified by the Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC). This role is focused on program performance tracking, data governance, and compliance support to ensure Commercial Energy Efficiency programs operate in alignment with mandated kWh and kW targets, approved budgets, and internal governance requirements, while supporting high levels of customer satisfaction. The Analyst supports program performance reporting and operational processes including coordination with contracted implementers, responding to internal and external data requests, and completing detailed reviews and analyses. The role works closely with Program Managers, internal teams across the company and external implementer teams to provide insights that inform decision‑making, support compliance, and enable effective program delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year accredited institution preferred; relevant industry certifications considered.
  • Education or experience in analytics, accounting, finance, business, economics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate, reconcile, and interpret large datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data, analyses, and findings to internal partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and coordination skills in cross‑functional and matrixed environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • General understanding of regulated utility environments, PSC processes, and internal governance controls.
  • Experience supporting procurement, contracting, or performance tracking processes in a regulated or operational setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical and operational support to Program Managers and Energy Efficiency leaders implementing Commercial Energy Efficiency programs with mandated kWh and kW targets, and approved budgets.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance performance reports, dashboards, and tracking tools to monitor energy savings, demand reduction, participation, and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze, track, and perform data quality control, validation, and reconciliation for multiple reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and regulatory confidence.
  • Support PSC, EM&V, and audit‑related inquiries and readiness activities by assisting with data preparation, documentation organization, and reporting tie-outs to support accurate, defensible, and audit-ready reporting.
  • Respond to ad hoc internal, regulatory, evaluator, and contractor requests for program data, documentation, and performance insights.
  • Coordinate and participate in engagement activities and events with customers, Participating Contractors, and other stakeholders to promote and support programs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to support compliant program execution, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support storm restoration and emergency response efforts in accordance with Georgia Power and Southern Company storm response protocols.
  • Serve in assigned storm roles, which may include field deployment or operational support during storm events.
  • Maintain flexibility to adjust work schedules, duties, and location as required to support restoration and customer recovery efforts.
