About the role Class A commercial driver. Hazmat and Tanker endoresment needed to transport vinegar products from production facility to local customers.

Requirements

• A valid Class A CDL is required.
• Current hazardous materials (Hazmat) and tanker (N) endorsements are mandatory.
• A clean motor vehicle record (MVR) is required.
• The role requires a successful background check as mandated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for hazmat endorsements.
• Must be able to pass a DOT-mandated physical exam and a drug and alcohol screening.
• A strong commitment to following safety protocols is crucial, given the nature of the cargo.
• The ability to carefully check documentation, equipment, and regulations is essential for compliance and safety.
• Professional and clear communication is necessary when interacting with customers, and team members.
• Flexibility to work varying hours

Nice To Haves

• Previous commercial driving and/or hazmat experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations, especially those related to hazardous materials transport.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle and its equipment are in safe working order.
• Properly placard the vehicle according to DOT requirements for the materials being transported.
• Safely unload vinegar from the tanker, using hoses, pumps, and other specialized equipment. Ensure proper procedures are followed to prevent spills and contamination.
• Be prepared to follow company protocols in the event of an emergency or a spill.
