About The Position

Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills, A Four Seasons Hotel is seeking a Commercial Director to join their dynamic Sales & Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will have remarkable talent and enthusiasm for sales and marketing, coupled with strategic foresight and a proven track record in both domains. As a key member of the Hotel Leadership team, this role plays a pivotal role in shaping strategic and operational decisions. The Commercial Director forms part of the Hotel Leadership team who collectively make key strategic and operational decisions for the Hotel. This individual will provide strategic leadership to the Sales, Catering, Conference Planning, Public Relations and Revenue Management teams in the hotel, ensuring that all activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenues. This individual will develop the local Hotel brand and narrative including the Hotel positioning in the market, the storytelling and subsequent programming. The Commercial Director must be able to execute and effectively communicate strategies and tactics employed to all key stakeholders, including Ownership, the Hotel team and our Corporate Office.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years previous employment in a related position
  • Strong revenue and budget management skills
  • Creative flair for marketing
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate effective leadership
  • Work authorization for employment in the United States is required

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Marketing is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership to the Sales, Catering, Conference Planning, Public Relations and Revenue Management teams in the hotel
  • Ensure that all activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenues
  • Direct and oversee all sales and commercial activities with the support of teams including: Sales, Catering, Conference Services, Public Relations, Marketing Communications and Revenue Management
  • Ensure that all activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per room occupied as well as in all of the Hotel’s outlets
  • Develop the local Hotel brand and narrative including the Hotel positioning in the market, the storytelling and subsequent programming
  • Execute and effectively communicate strategies and tactics employed to all key stakeholders, including Ownership, the Hotel team and our Corporate Office
