About The Position

We are looking for a Commercial Data Analyst (x|f|m) for the Commercial Excellence Intelligence & Analytics Team based in Göttingen (Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH). In this role, you will support various Commercial Data & Analytics initiatives, providing sales and customer performance metrics, forecasts and insights to drive business growth and efficiency. Requirements

  • You have a Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a closely comparable field
  • Several years of experience in commercial analytics or business intelligence within a complex, international organization
  • Proven track record of leading high-impact analytics initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to independently drive multiple complex analytics initiatives from problem framing to executive-level decision support
  • Advanced experience building executive-level dashboards and analytics products, ideally with Tableau
  • Strong hands-on analytics expertise (Python/PySpark) combined with experience delivering scalable solutions on modern cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Fluent in English, additional European languages are an advantage

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and enterprise solutions such as SAP ERP is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional commercial analytics initiatives that directly impact sales performance, customer engagement, and strategy
  • Act as a senior analytics partner to commercial leadership, translating strategic questions into clear analytical approaches
  • Design, standardize, and scale commercial analytics products such as dashboards, models, and decision tools across regions
  • Define and own advanced KPIs and performance frameworks with a strong focus on business relevance and comparability
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT to set analytics priorities and ensure execution aligns with business goals
  • Oversee scalable data models and analytics architectures in collaboration with data engineering and platform teams
  • Identify and drive analytics use cases that improve pipeline transparency, opportunity management, and sales execution
  • Turn complex data into concise, actionable recommendations that influence commercial decisions and execution
