The Commercial Danaher Business System Leader (Continuous Improvement) plays a critical role in driving commercial excellence and continuous improvement across Microbiology, a leading ID/AST company within Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. With a mission to ensure every patient receives the right antibiotic treatment at the right time, this role leverages the Danaher Business System (DBS) to build organizational capability, accelerate growth, and improve execution across global commercial teams. Reporting to the Senior Director of DBS, Microbiology, this role serves as a strategic advisor to North America and Europe Sales & Marketing leaders. This position is part of the Microbiology DBS team for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, and will be fully remote (USA). The DBS Leader supports decision-making, drives execution of key priorities, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement across commercial functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and process improvement skills, with the ability to influence across service, marketing, sales, and other functions-often without direct authority. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master's or MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years in progressive sales, sales operations or similar commercial function(s).
  • Demonstrated use of Danaher Business System Fundamental and Commercial Tool(s); Certified Practitioner status in one or more tools preferred.
  • Demonstrated success applying DBS fundamentals and commercial tools in a variety of business contexts, including kaizen facilitation and policy deployment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and influencing abilities, including the ability to lead without direct authority.
  • Proven ability in analytics, problem-solving, and communication, with strong CRM and data analytics proficiency to drive actionable commercial insights across global teams
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including executive stakeholders, without direct authority.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 50%, supporting commercial teams and DBS initiatives across regions.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Partnership Act as a strategic thought partner to commercial leaders, providing insights on execution, capability gaps, and DBS maturity. Collaborate with Beckman Coulter DBS and the DBS Office to benchmark tools and evolve practices, while shaping DBS roadmaps for sustainable growth.
  • DBS Capability Building & Certification Lead the Commercial DBS Certification Pipeline and build associate capabilities through training, coaching, and mentoring. Evaluate certification readiness, promote development at all levels, and pursue personal and team advancement in DBS mastery.
  • Kaizen & Continuous Improvement Leadership Govern regional kaizen and problem-solving funnels to prioritize high-impact initiatives. Facilitate kaizen events, ensure adherence to DBS standards, and guide teams in diagnosing inefficiencies and applying the right tools for resolution.
  • Deployment & Sustainment of DBS Tools Oversee deployment and sustainment of DBS tools across commercial teams. Drive adoption of DBS Fundamentals and standard work, ensuring consistent execution and operational excellence.
  • Culture Building & Change Management Champion a culture of continuous improvement through DBS events, trainings, and leadership engagement. Act as a DBS ambassador, promoting urgency, action, and integration of best practices from across Danaher.
