As a Commercial Credit Intern at our Troy - Main office, you will be joining a diverse team of passionate problem solvers dedicated to protecting Independent Bank capital while serving the needs of internal and external clients. In this full-time opportunity, you will work closely with Credit Analysts, assisting in tasks such as financial statement spreading, analyzing borrowing bases, and underwriting commercial loans.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of accounting and finance.
• Experience with Microsoft Product Suites.
• Must be currently enrolled in a relevant field of study.

Responsibilities

• Review credit data to evaluate loan requests, and monitor loan portfolio.
• Assist with financial statement spreading, borrowing bases, underwriting of loans, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Analyze personal and corporate tax returns, and financial statements to understand cash flow of borrowers and determine potential risks.
