About The Position

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Participates in credit training classes with proficiency evaluated through graded case work and testing. Training requirements, assigned tasks, and performance expectations must be met to proceed in the program. Prepares basic credit packages including credit analysis for extensions, modifications, and renewals of existing loan facilities and new loan requests. Spreads business financial statements using the Baker Hill/One Point system.Analyzes a company's operating performance and financial condition to understand business trends and to identify credit risks. Conducts cash flow analysis to evaluate loan repayment ability. Spreads and analyzes personal financial statements to evaluate personal liquidity, personal debt levels, and contingencies. Assesses collateral coverage. Performs industry/market analysis to identify industry trends and risks. Prepares loan offering and related forms for the credit package. Identifies and reports credit policy and underwriting experience. Completes underwriting requests within expected timeframes to meet assignment deadlines. Understands credit policies and is able to follow department procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills; express ideas and convey technical information in writing and verbally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and performing internet searches.
  • Basic math skills including the ability to compute ratios.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and move quickly through assignments to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups to manage internal and external customer relationships.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of at least two college level accounting classes and one college level finance class preferred.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
  • Completion of a business related internship preferred.
