The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing and monitoring the creditworthiness of the bank’s commercial/ag clients. This involves analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the bank. The analyst recommends credit lines within the established bank guidelines.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Bachelor's degree required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Finance, Banking or related field preferred
  • General banking knowledge, specifically in the commercial/ag lending area would be helpful
  • May be called on from time to time to participate with community organizations and community projects

Responsibilities

  • Create Financial Historical spreads and pro-forma cash flows
  • Prepares spread sheets, reports, summaries and opinions for financial officers on new, renewal and existing loans
  • Verify that loans will meet the required underwriting criteria for requested loan product
  • Perform credit inquiries and analyze credit reports
  • Analyze loan data on new, renewal and existing loans
  • Assemble loan presentation packages for loan committee
  • Attend and participate in loan committees
  • Maintain loan committee minutes and submit monthly report to the Board of Directors
  • Monitor loan policy exceptions and provide data for reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to loan officers as needed
  • Provide back-up assistance to other loan officers as needed
  • All other job duties as assigned
