About The Position

The Commercial Credit Analyst evaluates the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for commercial credit. This role involves making credit recommendations to the Commercial Lender and preparing loan presentation packages as required. The analyst also participates in Board presentations as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • 2 Years Commercial Lending underwriting or related Commercial Lending experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Spread and analyze business tax returns, business financial statements, personal tax returns, personal financial statements for new and existing credits.
  • Perform collateral analysis, calculate company and personal cash flows.
  • Make preliminary recommendations to loan officer.
  • Prepare spreadsheet, reports, summaries and opinions for financial officers on new, renewal, and existing loans.
  • Prepare presentation package for Loan Committee.
  • Assure all basic underwriting guidelines are met.
  • Oversee and manage financial information files to assure current reports, statements, accounts receivable and other information on customer accounts.
  • Perform credit inquiries for the financial institution as requested.
  • Establish, review and update new and existing loan files for the financial institution on a regular basis.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance to loan officers throughout the holding company as needed.
  • Maintain expertise in new and current analysis procedures.
  • Maintain expertise in new and changing underwriting guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Adhere to Bank credit standards and work constructively with and abide by credit department guidelines.
  • Assist in the production of any required BOD reports.
  • Maintain appropriate compliance tracking as required.
