Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst II to join our team in Poughkeepsie, New York. This position is crucial for performing in-depth commercial credit analyses, particularly on complex or time-sensitive files. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all analyses are consistent with HVCU's format, policies, and procedures. This role requires a high level of independence, as the analyst will operate with minimal guidance from the Commercial Lending leadership team. The primary function includes making recommendations on credit approvals and determining appropriate risk ratings for various commercial products. The Commercial Credit Analyst II will conduct thorough analyses that identify both recurring and non-recurring sources of cash flow, assess the Borrower's ability to cover debt service, and evaluate the guarantor's capacity to support the Borrower. The analyst will assign risk ratings based on financial trends, risks, mitigants, and any policy exceptions. Recommendations must be substantiated with financial spreads, investigative data such as credit reports, and other analytical measures. Additionally, the analyst will assist in loan structuring and provide mentorship to other credit staff as needed. Timeliness is critical in this role, as the analyst will be expected to complete credit analyses within specified deadlines. The position also involves maintaining the Credit Union's commercial loan portfolio through annual reviews, renewals, extensions, and modifications of existing borrowing relationships. The analyst will respond to inquiries from HVCU personnel and members, ensuring compliance with established policies and timeframes. Achieving departmental goals and implementing process improvements to enhance member experience and departmental efficiency are also key responsibilities. The role requires adherence to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including participation in necessary training such as Bank Secrecy Act training. The analyst will also engage in Credit Union teams, projects, and strategic initiatives as opportunities arise, while embodying HVCU's guiding principles in all activities. Regular and predictable attendance, including punctuality, is essential for this position.
