About The Position

The Commercial Credit Analyst I at Wings Financial Credit Union is responsible for providing credit analysis primarily for existing business members and supporting Commercial Lenders in managing risk within the commercial loan portfolio. This entry-level role involves assessing the risk of borrowing relationships and making loan approval recommendations for small to medium-sized loans, while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Requirements

• College degree required, or actively pursuing a degree.
• Demonstrated understanding of business financial statements and tax returns.
• Excellent written communication skills to reflect credit risk analysis recommendations clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals and teams at all levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with FISERV related systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret credit and lending policies to prepare written credit presentations and approval recommendations.
• Prepare and analyze financial spreads and other relevant information to assess borrower's ability to repay loans.
• Evaluate borrower's profitability, liquidity, leverage, and capital structure compared to industry standards.
• Research and evaluate borrower's background, management capability, and industry position.
• Analyze financial capacity of loan guarantors, including global cash flow analysis.
• Participate in organizational initiatives such as M&A activities and NCUA examinations.
• Attend Business Loan Review Committee meetings and assist commercial lenders with credit request presentations.
