Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 5+ years of legal experience, with significant expertise in negotiating complex commercial technology agreements
  • In-house experience at a SaaS, AI, or high-growth technology company preferred
  • Deep understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory frameworks; privacy certifications (CIPP, CIPM) are a plus
  • Strong business acumen and ability to operate as a strategic, solutions-oriented advisor
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed with a bias toward ownership, impact, and problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiation, drafting, and management of complex commercial agreements including MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, order forms, and channel/reseller contracts
  • Serve as a trusted legal advisor to Sales and Revenue teams, balancing risk management with deal velocity and customer experience
  • Provide guidance on data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance, including GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy frameworks
  • Collaborate with Product, Security, Finance, and Operations teams to support launches, initiatives, and customer commitments
  • Develop and maintain scalable contracting processes, templates, and negotiation playbooks to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Contribute to broader legal initiatives, including compliance programs, policy development, and legal operations improvements
  • Support additional legal matters such as vendor agreements, employment issues, product counseling, and corporate governance as needed
  • Mentor and support other members of the growing legal team
