About The Position

Fivetran is hiring a Commercial Counsel to support its global sales organization and help scale its commercial contracting function. Reporting to the commercial legal leadership team, this role will serve as a key partner to Sales, Finance, Security, and Revenue Operations—helping drive efficient deal execution while maintaining strong risk discipline. The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer-facing agreements, including MSAs, order forms, and data-related agreements, while advising on core SaaS issues such as data privacy, security, intellectual property, and liability. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate legal considerations into clear, practical guidance that enables the company to close deals effectively. In parallel, this position will contribute to the development of scalable contracting infrastructure, including templates, playbooks, and negotiation frameworks, and support broader cross-functional initiatives tied to product, pricing, and go-to-market strategy. The ideal candidate brings strong experience negotiating SaaS or technology agreements, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment—balancing legal risk with business objectives while helping build systems that scale.
