About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent with a strong background in Healthcare and Institutional construction projects, including hospitals, medical facilities, K-12 schools, and higher education campuses. This role requires a field-driven leader who understands the complexity, compliance standards, and scheduling precision necessary in highly regulated and occupied environments. The ideal candidate brings proven experience managing large-scale commercial builds from preconstruction through project completion.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare and/or institutional construction projects
- Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar commercial builds
- Strong knowledge of life safety codes, infection control requirements, and regulated construction environments
- Experience with construction management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar)
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and coordination
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction operations for healthcare and institutional projects
- Oversee ground-up construction and major renovation projects
- Manage daily subcontractor coordination and trade sequencing
- Drive project execution in alignment with the approved construction schedule
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain strict site safety compliance
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Inspectors, and Owners
- Ensure compliance with healthcare construction codes, AHCA standards, and life safety regulations
- Oversee MEP coordination and complex systems integration
- Conduct quality control inspections and manage punch list completion
- Maintain accurate daily logs, RFIs, and field documentation
