About The Position

Are you a dynamic and results-oriented sales professional with a passion for HVAC systems? We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial HVAC sales representative to join our team. As a Commercial HVAC sales representative, you will be responsible for driving sales, building customer relationships, and promoting our HVAC products and services to business leaders. This role involves selling heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, components, and services to businesses. Key aspects include understanding complex systems, generating and qualifying leads, creating tailored proposals, building strong client relationships, and closing deals.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in the HVAC industry, is highly valued.
  • A strong understanding of HVAC system components, energy efficiency, and system design is essential.
  • The ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and build rapport with clients is critical.
  • Identifying and resolving client challenges with creative and effective HVAC solutions.
  • MS Office proficiency; basic familiarity with Service Titan or similar CRM is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and nurture new commercial accounts via outbound outreach, referrals, networking groups, property managers, and manufacturers/distributors.
  • Conduct on-site assessments by visiting client locations to evaluate their existing HVAC systems, understand their specific needs, and identify pain points.
  • Collaborate with engineering/operations to develop scopes of work, perform takeoffs, and produce accurate, competitive proposals.
  • Present good/better/best options that address comfort, reliability, energy use, and total cost of ownership.
  • Own the sales cycle, maintain CRM hygiene, forecast accurately, and hit monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Grow share of wallet with existing customers, coordinate PM agreements, and ensure clean hand-offs to install/service with thorough documentation.
  • Work with vendors/manufacturers on product selection, lead times, rebates, and training.
  • Pre-install meetings with ops, confirm access, permits, crane/rigging needs, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Set timelines, communicate proactively, resolve concerns, and ensure satisfaction post-install; collect testimonials and referrals.
  • Track competitor activity, pricing trends, code updates, and rebate programs; provide feedback to leadership.
