About The Position

The Commercial Card Consultant is responsible for developing new business and expanding existing commercial card relationships. This role involves executing sales plans to promote and sell commercial card accounts to large commercial clients, managing complex payable solutions, and ensuring customer needs are met throughout the sales and implementation process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related fields (preferred).
  • 5-8 years of Treasury Management sales or commercial card sales experience (required).
  • Extensive knowledge of cards, payments, and payment systems.
  • Advanced understanding of bank payment systems and treasury management products.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales planning within assigned territory.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective sales proposals.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software applications.
  • Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP) or willingness to obtain within two years (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales plans to promote and expand commercial card accounts.
  • Interface with large commercial clients to manage complex payable solutions.
  • Evaluate opportunities and present commercial card solutions to meet customer goals.
  • Partner with commercial bank and treasury management teams to source new opportunities.
  • Design and evaluate customer needs to create appropriate card-based payable solutions.
  • Prepare and present solutions to C-level management, explaining complex solutions clearly.
  • Coordinate and implement solutions from application through approval and implementation.
  • Maintain and engage with customers to identify future growth opportunities.
  • Perform annual product reviews for customers and make recommendations for changes.
  • Stay updated on industry knowledge through seminars and publications.
