About The Position

BNC National Bank is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial/Business Loan Administrator to support our Commercial Lending team. This role plays a key part in the administration, servicing, and ongoing management of commercial loan portfolios in direct partnership with Commercial Lenders ( Business Banking Officers ). The level of the position (Level II through Manager) will be determined based on experience, technical expertise, and leadership capability, with preference given to candidates qualified at the Manager level.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of commercial loan administration or commercial lending experience (additional experience required for Manager level)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial loan documentation, closing, and servicing
  • Proven ability to support Commercial Lenders in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, collaborative approach
  • Experience reviewing loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership, coaching, or training experience preferred for Manager-level candidates

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative and portfolio management support to Commercial Lenders
  • Prepare commercial loan documentation and coordinate the full loan closing process
  • Serve as an ongoing point of contact for commercial loan customers in partnership with the Commercial Lender
  • Submit and process loan payments and advances; calculate loan payoffs
  • Complete information requests including lien searches, appraisals, engagement letters, and other due diligence items
  • Collect, review, and track borrower financial statements and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with insurance representatives to obtain and review required coverage
  • Prepare customer correspondence, notices, and loan-related letters
  • Record legal documentation and complete post-closing file reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct pre-closing and post-closing reviews to ensure compliance with internal policy and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with letters of credit and related documentation
  • Review loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Prepare and review WAMs, as applicable
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to staff (Manager level)
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and serve as a technical resource for the Commercial Lending team (Manager level)
