About The Position

Buckeye Construction & Restoration is seeking an experienced Mason to repair, restore, and rebuild masonry structures on commercial projects. This role focuses heavily on restoration work, including brick, block, and stone repair.

WHAT IS RESTORATION:

Restoration is being creative, being able to realize that there is an issue while never looking at a situation as un-able to do or impossible. Restoration Specialists don’t always need to know the answer, but awareness of the issue and desire to seek a solution is critical. Below is a list of additional requirements and/or traits of a successful Restoration Specialist.

Requirements

• Masonry experience in restoration or commercial construction preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Be flexible. (Open to learning new skills and trying different approaches.)
• Not afraid of heights.
• Ability to work safely in active jobsite environments.
• Travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Repair, rebuild, and resurface masonry structures
• Lay brick, block, stone, and terra cotta
• Cut out and repoint masonry joints
• Replace damaged brick and stone
• Drill, grout, and pin fractured stone; reset copings
• Mix mortar and use hand and power tools
• Perform masonry cleaning and apply sealers
• Follow all company and OSHA safety standards
