About The Position

About the Role: Works closely with the Commercial Banking Market Manager, Relationship Managers, and team within an assigned Commercial Banking Office (CBO) to provide specialty deposit support to commercial customers. Provides exceptional customer service and support to team and clients. Support Commercial customers with specialty deposit needs while maintaining high-quality client service. Provide dedicated support to Commercial Relationship Managers for deposit and other general inquiries and/or research needed to enhance, develop, and maintain customer relationships. Provide and maintain high-quality customer service while providing assistance for clients on bank services. Assist in providing proactive solutions and problem resolution for clients and peers. Respond to a wide range of customer questions and resolve deposit issues timely and effectively; escalate more complex deposit issues through appropriate channels within the Bank. Identify potential referral opportunities and refer all relevant bank and investment needs to the Commercial Relationship Manager. Utilize the bank’s core systems to perform work and assist customers Support Commercial Banking Office with other administrative duties as assigned by Manager. May interact with other external parties (outside counsel, title companies, vendors, etc.). Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes. Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description. May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words. About You: Education High school diploma or GED (preferred) Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) Experience 1-2 years — Prior experience in financial institution or other relevant experience (Required) Skills Basic knowledge of Bank’s Commercial and deposit systems, operations, and services, including procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Basic knowledge of general business acumen and practices related to analysis, accounting and financial procedures including market and interest rate impacts. Ability to think critically and provide appropriate solutions. Strong prioritization and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to determine cross-selling opportunities across the Bank. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, and client services skills. Ability to interact with professionals at all levels of business. Ability to work within a team culture in a constantly changing business environment. Self-starter and willing to accept additional responsibilities as the opportunities arise. Ability to achieve both personal and bank-established goals. Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office and any banking software used in the department. Travel Requirements Occasional The pay range for this role is $23.00 to $35.00. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
