About The Position

As a Healthcare, Higher Education, Nonprofit Commercial Banker, you will be the focal point of client acquisition and ongoing relationships. This role requires a customer-focused individual who enjoys building relationships and providing financial advice to clients. Bankers work both independently and as part of a team to introduce comprehensive solutions to clients. You will be responsible for growing and retaining profitable relationships with not-for-profit health systems, universities and colleges, and not-for-profit organizations within the Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries. This banker will collaborate with clients and partner across the national Healthcare, Higher Education, Nonprofit footprint, including Treasury, Industry Solutions, Credit, and other firmwide JPM resources such as Investment Banking, Derivatives, and Corporate Responsibility. Our Bankers are required to have a deep working knowledge of our solutions including, but not limited to: Credit, Treasury Services, International Banking, Syndicated Finance, Commercial Card, and Chase Paymentech Solutions. The ideal candidate will have a methodical approach to market activity and prospecting, with deep local connections and market knowledge.

Requirements

  • 5+ years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree and formal credit training preferred
  • Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
