An exciting position is now available at America's Socially Responsible Bank! Amalgamated Bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Banker to join our team focused on cash management. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of relationships with a focus on deposits and providing support to the regions most complex clients utilizing cash management services. Your expertise in banking products, coupled with strong sales abilities, will be essential in creating tailored proposals to meet customer needs and enhance the regions market share.

  • Align with Bank's Mission and Values: Perform tasks in line with the Bank's mission, vision, and core values, ensuring the delivery of prompt and excellent service to clients.
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with the Western Region Director to create and implement plans to achieve region objectives, including deposit growth, cash management-related fee income, and high customer satisfaction.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities for high-value deposit-centric partnerships to contribute to team goals.
  • Client Engagement: Lead the delivery of services to prospects and add value to referral partners within center of Influences through direct outreach and relationship building at conferences and events.
  • Assist a portfolio of clients in setting up and implementing cash management services through various communication channels.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Assist Commercial Bankers and Account Executives in expanding their knowledge of deposit and cash management products.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise and support in analyzing and assessing potential treasury management services and solutions.
  • Risk Assessment: Collaborate with CBs and AEs to assess risks associated with potential solutions, particularly in complex scenarios.
  • Client Education: Inform and instruct clients about the risks and benefits of cash management services.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations and client assessments of cash management services.
  • Market Analysis and Advice: Stay updated with market trends in deposit and cash management, providing analysis and advice to the Regional Manager.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.
  • Bachelors degree in finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent job experience.
  • Practical understanding of deposit and treasury products and services commonly used by for-profit and not for profit lower-middle and middle market companies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for success in a business-to-business sales setting.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and project oversight abilities.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Working knowledge of deposit and treasury policies and processes is preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Windows-based office suites, spreadsheet programs, the internet, email, and banking software.
  • Certification as a Certified Treasury Professional is a plus.
  • Hybrid Work Model effective February 18, 2025, with three days or more on-site per week, Monday - Thursday.
