About The Position

This position provides customer assistance to Commercial Banking customers and assists Commercial Relationship Managers and/or the Market President with their job duties. This position provides professional support to the Commercial Team in their Market. The role is responsible for ensuring a seamless customer experience by aiding Commercial Relationship Managers with loan documentation, portfolio management, and administrative duties. Aiding commercial customers with various inquiries and through the loan process. Assists the Market President with administrative functions.

Requirements

  • One to three years of experience in a commercial lending environment with a demonstrated understanding of commercial lending processes, terminology, loan documentation and loan servicing requirements.
  • Good understanding of banking products and services.
  • Knowledge of legal issues surrounding the perfection of a security interest in collateral, organizational documents of borrowers and determining authority to borrow.
  • Knowledge of bank loan policy and regulations.
  • Capability to interpret financial information and data and determine the value of collateral offered.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good computer skills including knowledge of DocuSign and Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Familiar with Baker Hill NextGen loan system and FiServ Navigator.
  • Ability to work under pressure and loan closing time constraints.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Be a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Provides professional assistance and resolves inquiries to commercial customers of the bank.
  • Monitors non-sufficient funds report daily, work with Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM) to obtain necessary approvals and communicates to Deposit Services decision to pay items as needed within our internal processing window.
  • When asked, will assist CRM with portfolio management issues (i.e. past-due payments) by communicating with customers.
  • Assists CRM in management of construction loans and asset-based lines of credit.
  • Processes wire transactions for commercial customers and loan disbursements.
  • Communicates internally with Loan Closers, Credit, Loan Servicing, Collections, Treasury Sales, Digital Banking & Payments, Deposit Services, Retail Branch personnel and other various departments as needed.
  • Communicates and coordinates with customers, realtors, builders, insurance agents, attorneys, appraisers, and others in preparation for applications, pre- and post-closings.
  • Images and inputs financial statements and various customer and loan documents as needed.
  • Coordinates documentation of loans with the assistance of CRM.
  • Coordinates exceptions clearing, insurance tracking and resolution, and other post-closing items.
  • Administers loan closings when CRMs are unavailable.
  • Administers all loan disbursements.
  • Assists in the opening of commercial depository accounts with the CRM and Retail Branch personnel.
  • Assists Treasury Management Officer by preparing paperwork to establish customer’s online banking access and/or adding any new accounts.
  • Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations.
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Market President.
  • Actively participates in community organizations and bank sponsored events.
