About The Position
Commercial Account Specialist - Incentive Programs Location: Baton Rouge, LA (Field-Based, Local travel required) Must be located in the Baton Rouge area to be considered) Ready to make a difference? ICF is seeking a Commercial Account Specialist, based in the Baton Rouge, LA area, to assist in the delivery of commercial energy efficiency programs. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a pipeline of existing energy efficiency projects and recruiting new participants into the program. The candidate will call on customers and contractors in the utility client’s service territory with the goal of increasing energy efficiency projects and participation in utility incentive programs. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
- 2+ years of energy efficiency, sales and/or outreach experience working with commercial or industrial companies and/or related experience
- Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
- Superior people skills and a cooperative attitude
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
- Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
- Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
- Proficient with suite of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with energy efficiency technologies and practices is highly desirable
- Knowledge of the existing network of distributors, contractors and construction companies serving the Southeastern Louisiana area
- Experience working on successful energy efficiency programs
- Utility experience and understanding of Demand Side Management (DSM) program implementation
- Experience with ENERGY STAR, LEED, and other program platforms
- Experience performing energy audits and energy savings calculations
- Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Recruit program participants (non-residential eligible customers), account management, developing and implementing sales strategies, preparing, and delivering persuasive presentations, relationship building activities.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance on energy efficient technologies and practices to companies participating in utility-sponsored programs.
- Ensure projects in assigned territory are up to date in program tracking system by communicating with customers and contractors on project status and expected completion dates
- Presentations and training to local stakeholder groups, contractors, and customers
- Work as part of a team ensuring that the evaluation, implementation, and verification of energy efficiency projects are successfully executed in all non-residential markets
- Provide an array of contractor support and assistance services
- Conduct surveys and inspections of energy efficiency projects to verify equipment installation and operation.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of submitted projects for approval
- Must have reliable vehicle for local travel up to 50% of the time in the Southwestern Louisiana region (reimbursement for mileage provided)
