About The Position

As a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, Johnson Controls is on a mission to reimagine the performance of buildings to serve people, places, and the planet. The Commercial Sales Executive Security will promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory, establishing relationships, and closing new business for Johnson Controls Security while ensuring customer retention. This role is crucial as the representative will act as the brand steward for Johnson Controls Security, responsible for telling the brand's story and demonstrating its position as a leading electronic security provider. The position involves securing profitable sales and upgrades to new, existing, and discontinued Johnson Controls Security Commercial customers while improving customer happiness and retention through post-installation follow-ups.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to present to senior level executives.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule.
  • Available for local travel.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a successful commercial sales representative in the security, IT or other technology sales industry.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory.
  • Establish relationships and close new business for Johnson Controls Security.
  • Act as the brand steward for Johnson Controls Security, telling the brand's story.
  • Secure profitable sales and upgrades to new, existing, and discontinued customers.
  • Improve customer happiness and retention by initiating post-installation follow-ups.
  • Build new market share by selling products and services to new local commercial customers.
  • Sell additional products and services to existing accounts.
  • Renew existing customer agreements.
  • Identify prospects using creative lead-generating techniques.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with existing customers.
  • Establish call plans and customer follow-up strategies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products/services and customer needs.
  • Acquire referrals and work with Centers of Influence.
  • Process work orders and complete all paperwork according to procedures.
  • Conduct post-installation follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
