About The Position

As a Commercial Account Executive at Databricks, you will engage with innovative companies leveraging data to transform their operations. This role demands a creative and self-motivated individual with expertise in managing both transactional and strategic sales processes. You are expected to effectively sell innovation and drive change by expanding customer vision and accelerating decision cycles. A deep understanding of the product and a passion for articulating its value to customers and partners are crucial. Your responsibilities will include actively prospecting for new opportunities, securing new accounts, and expanding existing client relationships. The position offers accelerators for achieving over 100% of the quota and reports directly to a regional sales manager.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of closing experience, carrying a direct revenue quota.
  • Prior experience in big data, Cloud, or SaaS sales.
  • Be able to quickly learn new technologies and value proposition.
  • Experience exceeding sales KPIs and quotas.
  • Success closing new accounts while working existing accounts.
  • Proficiency in MEDDPICC.
  • A proven history of exceeding annual revenue targets.
  • Consistent top performer with a history of internal promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Build a territory plan by 30 days with a clear account prioritization strategy.
  • Align both new and existing customers with the Lakehouse vision and ecosystem.
  • Be able to range from faster transactions to large strategic 7 figure deals.
  • Meet and exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets; you will be expected to prospect and generate pipeline in this role.
  • Maintain clear Salesforce and Clari hygiene including use case, MEDDPICC, revenue forecasts, and account notes.
  • Lead with a customer first mindset and focus on business value.
