Requirements

• Must have successfully completed the probationary/trial period.
• Must have excellent attendance habits.
• Must have no other disciplinary write-ups within the past 90 days.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A license.
• Must have a good driving record and a drug-free record.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Vision correctable to 20/20.
• Must possess good decision making ability.
• Ability to lift/push 100+ lbs.
• Ability to drive large trucks in all types of weather and chain wheels if needed.
• Good work ethics and able to work as a team with other drivers and Hatchery employees.
• Able to work in hot and dusty environments.

Nice To Haves

• Some mechanical abilities in truck repairs while in transit.
• Valid Pilgrim's Forklift license or ability to obtain license within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Pick up eggs from the hatchery and deliver them to the farms each day.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections as well as forklift inspections.
• Load the trailer with eggs.
• Safely deliver the load to a farm and help unload them on site.
• Haul approximately 2 or 3 loads a day.
• Work a typical schedule of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday starting around 6am until done hauling designated loads.
• Participate in quarterly fleet-driver meetings scheduled on Wednesdays.
• Work all holidays that fall on weekdays except for Christmas.
