New York Post Data Labs is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Commerce Data Analyst to join our Data Science and Analytics team. In this role, you will be the dedicated analytics partner for the New York Post Commerce department. You will be responsible for providing insights that drive business growth by analyzing performance metrics, identifying trends, and optimizing our Commerce strategies. This is a crucial position for someone who is passionate about data and its power to inform strategic business decisions in a fast-paced Media & Commerce environment.

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for all affiliate marketing campaigns, including clicks, conversions, commission, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Develop and maintain recurring reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools to provide clear visibility into performance for stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in data to provide actionable recommendations for improving affiliate program efficiency and profitability.
  • Assist in building and maintaining models and forecasts to project future performance needs.
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to optimize landing pages, offers, and partner performance.
  • Work closely with the leaders on the Commerce Team to understand their business needs, translate them into data requirements, and present findings in an understandable way.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all data sources, reporting, and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a data analysis role, preferably within commerce, digital marketing, or affiliate marketing.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Cloud Architecture, SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Experience with a business intelligence platform (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth analysis, draw conclusions, and present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Experience with languages like Python & SQL for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with affiliate tracking & Commerce business model, platforms and tools.
  • Proven experience working with large, complex datasets.
