About The Position

Comfort Advisor The Comfort Advisor is responsible for providing in‑home consultations, educating customers on comfort solutions, and recommending systems that enhance indoor air quality, safety, and energy efficiency. This role requires exceptional communication skills, technical understanding of HVAC systems, and the ability to build trust while guiding customers through the decision‑making process.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to explain HVAC concepts clearly to non‑technical customers.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple appointments.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous HVAC or in‑home sales experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Educate homeowners on modern HVAC comfort systems, efficiency options, indoor air quality solutions, and system benefits
  • Conduct comfort and safety assessments by asking targeted questions to understand customer needs
  • Explain findings and system recommendations in a clear, easy‑to-understand manner.
  • Prepare professional HVAC system proposals following company pricing standards and manufacturer guidelines
  • Obtain customer approval and signed agreements for recommended systems and services
  • Ensure all proposals are accurate, profitable, and aligned with company value and quality standards
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and communication style in all customer interactions
  • Conduct follow‑up site visits to ensure satisfaction, installation readiness, and project accuracy
  • Maintain contact with customers throughout installation to confirm their expectations are met
  • Review project details with the department manager for quality and accuracy
  • Communicate system specs, installation details, financing information, and scheduling needs to support staff in a timely manner
  • Submit photos, forms, and documentation promptly to ensure projects flow smoothly
  • Provide installers with complete job details using written instructions, drawings, photos, and verbal guidance
  • Stay in communication with installation teams throughout the job to support a high‑quality installation
  • Actively seek referrals from satisfied homeowners
  • Prospect for new customers through outbound calls and follow‑ups
  • Participate in company sales meetings, HVAC product training, and technical training sessions
