About The Position

The Comco 2nd Operator at Pollard Banknote Limited is responsible for assisting the Comco Operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining a Comco Proglide press. This role is crucial in producing high volumes of lottery tickets while adhering to production targets and quality standards. The position requires mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to monitor print quality and ensure optimal equipment performance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Qualified as a Machine Assistant.
• Proven ability to be self-directed and require minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated intermediate mechanical skills.
• Troubleshooting experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret detailed game specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of and consistent adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, and Security standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operator in all aspects of operating the Comco Press and train to fill in as Comco Operator during the Operator's absence.
• Ensure product is printed in accordance with game specifications.
• Ensure optimal equipment performance through proper set-up, operation, and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with troubleshooting of Comco and peripheral equipment to ensure the highest quality can be attained.
• Provide direction to Machine Assistants and show initiative in recommending potential changes in procedures.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections; set up Comco and related equipment.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Mount plates for all games on the Comco.
• Monitor print quality and registration throughout the roll.
• Assist Operator in make-ready, maintaining color, registration, consistency, and general print quality.
