About The Position

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a relevant field at a U.S.-based college or university, with a strong academic record.
  • Rising second year Master's or PhD student preferred (graduating Winter 2026-Spring 2028).
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs.
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis, modeling, and scripting.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Understanding of recommender systems, supervised/unsupervised learning, and NLP techniques.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms.
  • Previous experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience designing, running, and interpreting A/B tests or experiments.
  • Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting technical findings to diverse audiences.
  • Self starter: able to independently research, learn, and implement new techniques.
  • Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to identify and scope impactful ML/data science projects.
  • Research, prototype, and implement ML models or data pipelines for content recommendation, personalization, or video performance optimization.
  • Analyze large-scale user engagement and streaming performance data to extract actionable insights.
  • Design and execute A/B tests and experiments to validate new product features or ML algorithms.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in code and design reviews; contribute to documentation and best practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
