Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university.
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028).
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating).
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs.
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the latest 3D modelling and rendering tools (Keyshot, Rhino, Solidworks, Adobe Creative Suite or similar).
  • Experience with model-making and prototyping using a variety of materials and techniques.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in product development.
  • Intrinsic passion for seamless hardware/software experiences.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity in design, including versatility with prototyping tools and methods.
  • A strong understanding of design research and creative processes.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and staying up to date with design trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable material development.
  • Contribute towards generating concepts for new products and participating in ideation sessions.
  • Developing 3D models and prototypes using a variety of materials and techniques.
  • Creating visual presentations and design specifications to communicate your ideas to stakeholders.
  • Being part of a team that ensures our designs meet our high standards for quality, functionality, sustainability, and user experience.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are suitable for the wider organization.
  • Developing an understanding of product design range, building harmony, consistency and clear purpose across multiple product forms factors and functionalities.
  • Assist with developing material technologies from prototype to production while quickly broadening technical understanding as new technologies become available.
  • Help to build and maintain a material library to inspire material-led design innovation within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure visibility and provide input into group design critiques.
