The Comcast internship/co-op program will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop strong interpersonal and business skills, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 40 media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network. This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team, working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Requirements

  • Prefer a just completed junior year, rising to senior year of undergraduate studies.
  • Returning to degree program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship.
  • Available to work 20-25 hours per week over the course of the 8-12 week fall semester.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs.
  • Available to report in-person to the work location.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong interest in working on the Hill after graduation or has previously worked on the Hill.
  • Strong interest in government affairs/regulatory affairs.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is a plus, but not required.
  • Must have excellent time management and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Must have great attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must have ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to work evenings (when necessary).
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in the telecommunications, cable and media industries.
  • Ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

  • Watch Congressional hearings and take notes for circulation to Comcast Legislative Affairs team.
  • Work with members of the Legislative Affairs team on various projects.
  • Conduct guided legislative and Congressional research on topics of interest to Comcast NBCUniversal.
  • Attend internal Comcast meetings and take notes.
  • Support the Legislative Affairs team in planning and execution of Comcast corporate events.
  • Attend meetings with Congressional staff.
  • Process consultant invoices and other administrative assignments as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
