About The Position

Combo Welder (FCAW + GTAW/TIG) – 2" Monster Coupon Location: Ingleside, TX Schedule: Full-time | Industrial Construction / Turnaround Environment Tarpon Specialty Services is hiring experienced Combo Welders for industrial work in the Ingleside near Corpus Christi, TX. This role is for welders who are solid on FCAW and GTAW/TIG on pipe and can pass a 2" monster coupon test to strict code standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience with both FCAW and GTAW/TIG on pipe.
• Prior industrial welding experience (refinery, petrochemical, LNG, or heavy industrial preferred).
• Ability to pass all required weld tests listed above.
• Safety-minded, dependable, and able to work in a team environment.
• Able to work a full-time schedule and meet site access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform FCAW welding in accordance with WPS 30 and WPS 60.
• Perform GTAW/TIG welding on pipe in accordance with WPS 62.
• Produce welds that meet RT (X-ray) or visual inspection standards.
• Read and follow WPS, isometrics, and drawings in an industrial environment.
• Work safely around other crafts and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with foremen, QC, and client representatives.
