About The Position

As a Combat Medic Specialist (68W) in the United States Army, you will play a crucial role in providing emergency medical care in both combat and humanitarian situations. This position requires enlistment in the Army or Army Reserves, and candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 42. Your training will equip you to serve as a first responder, allowing you to triage illnesses and injuries effectively to save lives, similar to the role of a paramedic in civilian settings. In addition to providing medical care in the field, you will also be responsible for training other Soldiers in lifesaver and first responder courses, ensuring that your team is prepared to handle medical emergencies. While stationed on base, you will continue to provide care and support to fellow Soldiers, maintaining readiness for deployment at all times. Physical fitness and stamina are essential, as the job may require enduring long periods of physical exertion.
