This position supports multiple Programs, production business needs and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment supporting the Combat Products Factory. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and performs a wide variety of sequencing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of the manufacturing workflow. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing and applying Lean Manufacturing techniques to successfully meet production requirements. What you will do This role is responsible for safety, quality, cost, and schedule execution on the factory floor. Supervision of day-to-day factory operations, resource loading, process control, and business performance metrics. The position will interface with Production Associates, Production Control, Program Operations, Quality, Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, as well as Factory Management. This role will also be responsible for workforce planning and forecasting, employee training, time and attendance tracking, area layout and flow management, and ensuring compliance of company policies and procedures. Requires engagement with other functional areas where direct and indirect influence experience is needed so that we have continuous improvement in cost, quality, and schedule performance. Willing to work off-shift and overtime as required by program and factory needs

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in production, manufacturing, or operations
  • Experience managing a production team and/or group subordinate employees.
  • Experience in manufacturing planning/scheduling and lean manufacturing concepts.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with processes such as R6s, iMRO, SAP, and CMES or an equivalent shop floor management & MRP system.
  • Experience with cost management and/or rework reduction effort.
  • Experience in Visual Controls, Line Balancing, LEAN Factory management principles and optimizing the use of critical resources.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering, process development and continuous improvement.
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of theory of constraints.
  • Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Access)
