About The Position

As an Equipment Technician, you will be tasked with maintaining and repairing a diverse range of equipment in our stores, such as refrigeration units, commercial kitchen equipment, restrooms, fuel pumps, and roller grills. Each day will bring a diverse array of tasks, from carpentry and low voltage electrical work to plumbing and specialized HVAC-R repairs. As our most skilled technician, you will also be responsible for handling higher priority calls and ensuring critical issues are resolved promptly and efficiently. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a reputable refrigeration school or successful completion of an Apprenticeship Program.
  • Mechanical aptitude including a basic knowledge of HVAC-R systems, electronic equipment, carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
  • Minimum 2 years of refrigeration systems experience with EPA Type II or Universal certification.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.

  • Ability to work varying hours including overnights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair refrigeration units, commercial kitchen equipment, restrooms, fuel pumps, and roller grills.
  • Perform carpentry, low voltage electrical work, plumbing, and specialized HVAC-R repairs.
  • Handle higher priority calls and resolve critical issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair general equipment.
  • Efficiently route and prioritize work orders daily.
