Requirements

  • Board eligible/certification in colorectal surgery.
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Training and experience in colorectal and robotic surgery.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Florida.
  • Extensive experience in colorectal and robotic surgery.
  • Strong surgical skills and precision.
  • Excellent diagnostic abilities.
  • Compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex procedures such as robotic-assisted colorectal surgeries.
  • Provide comprehensive peri-operative care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including gastro-enterology/advanced endoscopists, medical and radiation oncology, genetics, and supportive services.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the education and training of surgical residents.
  • Engage in clinical research and stay abreast of advancements in the field.
  • Conduct in-office patient consultations and follow-up care.
  • Participate in ER call coverage as determined by Division Chief and Department Chair.
  • Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship to junior medical staff.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.
