About The Position

Join one of the top cancer centers in the nation! Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute seek to hire a full-time Fellowship-trained Colorectal Surgeon for a clinical position to join City of Hope inâ Upland, CA as primary location. We are seeking research and mission- minded physicians as every discovery we make and every new treatment we create, gives people the chance to live longer, better, and more fully. Theâ Department of Surgery, Division of Colorectal Surgery, is seeking a board-certified Colorectal Surgeon with training in advanced oncologic colorectal surgery to meet the clinical needs of our program in Southern California. The Colorectal Surgeon can look forward to providing patient-centered care in collaboration with a world class, nationally recognized multidisciplinary team of top-level surgical and nonsurgical specialists. This is a full-time position reporting to the Division Chief of Colorectal Surgery. Clinical site in Upland, CA (possibly additional sites within Southern California) The position entails 4- 4 1/2 days of clinical work (clinic and OR) and ½ day for administrative time Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive outpatient and inpatient colorectal surgery management for colon, rectal, as well as anorectal pathologies with compassionate patient-centered care Established and expanding referral base in Colorectal Surgery in the region Wonderful colleagues and a collaborative team environment Provide patient-centered care in collaboration an established multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses at a state-of-the-art outpatient clinic facility. Possibility of contribute to the development of clinical trials and research studies and pursuing academic appointments and participation in educational activities

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible In Colorectal Surgery
  • Evidence of past scholarly contributions and academic growth trajectory
  • Academic record consistent with appointment at Assistant Professor and higher level at City of Hope National Medical Center
  • Selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
  • Applicants must have a M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree
