About The Position
Arapahoe County Department of Human Services (ACDHS) is seeking a full-time Program Specialist-Child Care Assistance (CCAP) for Community Support Services in Aurora, Colorado. The position is part of the Community and Child Support Services (CCSS) Division, which determines initial and ongoing eligibility for public assistance programs for Arapahoe County residents, including Food Assistance, Colorado Works (TANF) Cash Assistance, Family Medical Assistance, Adult Financial and Medical Assistance, Long Term Care Assistance, Child Care Assistance, and Low Income Energy Assistance. The role involves conducting extensive interviews to assess eligibility for public assistance, requiring the collection of sensitive personal information and the use of a complex computer system during the interview process. The position also includes making referrals to other services, assisting customers with applications, processing changes, and maintaining communication with outside agencies.
