About The Position

Lifetime Products, located in Clearfield, Utah, designs and manufactures consumer products for major retailers around the world, including Sporting Goods, Lawn & Garden, Water Sports, Play Sets, and Tables & Chairs. www.lifetime.com We are seeking a talented and passionate Color Material Finish Designer to join our research and development team. As an integral part of our design process, you will be responsible for creating compelling, brand-aligned color, material, and finish solutions that elevate product design, and desirability, enhance user experience, and ensure feasibility from concept through global production. Experience in consumer hardgoods is a plus.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in CMF/ Industrial Design.
Design Expertise: Proven track record of CMF conceptualization and implementation across product categories.
Excellent presentation skills in creating compelling CMF presentations that influence and inspire.
Technical Skills: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Keyshot, and CMF visualization tools.
Portfolio: Demonstrated CMF storytelling, conceptualization, and production execution.

Nice To Haves

Experience in consumer hardgoods is a plus.

Responsibilities

Forecast global color, material, and finish trends across multiple categories including Sporting Goods, Lawn & Garden, Outdoor Recreation, Play Systems, and Tables & Chairs.
Present CMF strategies, trend and inspiration reports, including user archetypes and mood boards to stake holders.
Create detailed CMF specification sheets, including color and color pallet naming, in collaboration with Marketing, Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
Ensure first article part CMF integrity from specification to production.
Guide our global color lifecycle management across all categories.
Maintain a physical CMF library to promote collaboration and inspire elevated design.
